What We Believe - Thinking About Joining Our Church?
The people of Wiley Heights love welcoming people from all walks of life. Whether you’ve been following Jesus for years, are new to faith, or are just curious about what it all means.
When someone decides they’re ready to become a member, we ask two simple questions that reflect what we believe at our core:
- Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Savior and promise to follow Him as Lord?
- Do you accept the Holy Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments, as the word of God and the perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct?
These beliefs are central to who we are as a community of faith. Beyond that, our denomination Is committed to a set of guiding affirmations that shape how we live, worship, and care for others:
- We affirm the centrality of the word of God. We believe God’s Word helps us understand who God is and how we can live out His love in the world.
- We affirm the necessity of the new birth. Faith isn’t just a belief — it’s a life transformed by God’s grace.
- We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church. Sharing God’s love in both word and action.
- We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers. We’re a family, learning, growing, and serving together.
- We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit. God’s Spirit leads, comforts, and empowers us every day.
- We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ. We’re united by faith and love, even when we see things differently.

Wherever you are on your faith journey, this is a safe place for you to ask questions, find community, and experience God’s love in real and meaningful ways.
